Pico De Gallo
You will never eat or serve jarred salsa again! If you have a few tomatoes in your kitchen, this is SO easy to whip up. The results are insanely fresh, bright, and delicious.
I’ve used pickled jalapeños and fresh, either works just fine.
Ingredients
- 3 tomatoes, finely diced
- 1 small white onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
- 1/3 jalapeño, seeded and finely minced (more or less depending on your tolerance of spiciness)
- 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, chopped
- juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a medium bowl. Stir lightly until evenly distributed.
- Cover and place in refrigerator for a couple of hours.
- Serve with chips, over tacos, etc.
